BOB AND LOLA IN THE SPOOKY RAINFOREST

BOB AND LOLA IN THE SPOOKY RAINFOREST

Lola looked over at Bob as he sat flicking with the t.v. control.
There was nothing on television that he wanted to watch and she noticed a slight agitation and restlessness in his movements. This had been happening on a more regular basis over the past couple of weeks and it was beginning to worry her.
"What's wrong honey?"
she asked, placing the magazine she had been reading on the side table.
"Aint nothing wrong Darlin! Just feeling kind of restless. You know how it is!"
She got up and sat down on the sofa next to him.
"I know something has been bothering you the last few days"
she began,
"so why don't you tell me what it is ?"
Bob's big brown eyes clouded over with sadness.
"It's difficult for me to explain
he began.....
"Come on Honey"
she coaxed,
"Big Bob has always told everyone what was on his mind in the past and that hasn't changed no matter what!"
"Yes Darlin, you're right. I've never not told you anything. Anything at all! I've just been dreaming back to the days when we met and how you high kicked your way into my life!"
Lola smiled.
"Those were the days Big Bob. Remember all the fun we had!"
"Yes, I sure doosey do!"
he grinned.
"Well"
he laughed,
"It's been a looooong while and I was thinking that I'd like to go to the spooky Rain Forest. We could look for all those solid people and things that have disapppeared from our lives and I know there are lots of them hidden away back there!"
"Is that what has been troubling you"
Lola smiled, deep down thankful that there was nothing else on his mind.
"Cos if that's what you want to do, then I'll be high kicking my way there with you honey, you can be sure of that!"
Big Bob's eyes grew larger and larger like two huge brown and white saucers.
"Oh my"
he beamed.
"Oh my!..."
"I wanna hold your hand"
he began to sing.......
"I wanna hold your hand"
Lola smiled.
"I wanna hold your hand"
he continued, dancing with her around the room to the Beatles tune.
"My word Big Bob"
Lola exclaimed trying to catch her breath. Deep down she was praying that Big Bob was not losing his marbles. His marbles were too precious a commodity for him to lose so the quicker they ventured out into the Big Bob Wide World to look for all their old solid friends, the better!
"If we hurry"
said Lola, strapping on her
